We are delighted to be hosting the 2018 WingFling Retreat August 2-5, 2018.
Nestled among the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains, the Georgia Baptist Conference Center offers a variety of activities including fishing, hiking, canoeing, fitness center, tennis, and basketball. The facilities include 240 guest rooms, the Higher Grounds Coffee Shop, the Service Station Snack Shop and the Lakeside dining room.
As you make your preparations to attend WingFling, know there are a variety of lodging options. The Griffith Hotel features 97 guest rooms. 77 rooms are interior corridor rooms (with elevator access each floor) while there are 20 exterior corridor rooms with convenient parking. Each of these 97 rooms can accommodate a maximum 5 guests. All rooms have private bathrooms with tub/shower combinations.
If you are looking for something just as cozy, you might want to check out the excellent accommodations at the King Hotel. The first floor wings have 32 rooms and can accommodate 2-3 guests per room. The second floor wings house 65 rooms and can accommodate a maximum of 4 guests per room. The second floor rooms have private baths with showers (no tubs.) The first floor rooms have private baths with tub/shower combinations. While King has a very relaxing atmosphere, if you are looking for elevator service between floors we would recommend you stay at the Griffith Hotel.
We hope you will take advantage of the affordable meal packages. Meals are buffet style. These package prices are only available in advance within this online registration. There will be a very limited number of meal packages available on the day of arrival (August 2nd). These will be offered at a higher price and on a first come, first serve basis. We encourage all our guests to purchase meals in advance online.

Additional Information on campsites
Keep in mind some of the things our campsites do and do not come equipped with if you plan on using our campground:
- There are no paved aprons on any of the campsites; each campsite has a gravel base
- There is one washer and dryer in the central bathhouse area
- There is one central dump station in the campground and some sites do have full hookups including a dump station.
What is our Cancellation Policy?
If your entire family is not able to attend. Please note full payment minus a $25.00 per each guest room, lodge unit, Cabin unit, or campsite processing fee will be refunded up until Friday – July 13, 2018 –4:00 pm. After this date and time, refunds will not be available for any cancellations. We will be happy to honor guest substitutions up until the time you check-in.
What is our Cancellation Policy for folks needing to cancel someone’s meal plan?
If someone within your family has paid for any of the meal plans but needs to cancel please note full payment of that meal plan minus a 20% processing fee will be refunded up until Friday – July 13, 2018 – 4:00 pm. After this date and time, refunds nor guest substitutions will not be available for any cancellations.
